Tour Itinerary:- 

Day 1: Arrival in Cochin → Travel to Munnar

Morning

  • Fly from Delhi / Mumbai to Cochin International Airport (Kochi).
  • On arrival, meet the local tour guide/representative. Refresh and have breakfast.

Mid-morning to Early Afternoon

  • Depart for Munnar by private coach / tempo-traveller. The drive is approx. 4-5 hours (roughly 130 km) depending on road and stops. 
  • En route stop-overs to break journeys, photo spots, and lunch. Possible stops: Valara & Cheeyappara waterfalls, spice plantations to see pepper/cardamom, etc.

Afternoon

  • Check in to a hotel/resort in Munnar. Let the group rest a bit.
  • Post-lunch light activity: stroll through tea gardens, visit Tea Museum (if open), small viewpoints like Pothamedu / Echo Point.

Evening

  • Group dinner with local Kerala cuisine. Optional cultural show (Kerala dance or local art).
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2: Munnar – Nature, Viewpoints & Scenic Experiences

Morning

  • Early breakfast, then head to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr; panoramic views, cool air. Note: the park is closed during breeding season (usually Feb–April).
  • Return to the hotel; mid-morning break.

Late Morning / Afternoon

  • Visit Tea Gardens & Tea Factory; see how tea is grown, harvested, and processed.
  • Lunch at a restaurant with a view.
  • Post-lunch: visit Mattupetty Dam & Lake, boating; Echo Point; Kundala Lake & dam; Pothamedu viewpoint; Botanical Gardens.

Evening

  • Sunset views from a high vantage point; group photo shoot spots.
  • Optional short trek (if the group is up to it), or just free time to relax at a hotel.
  • Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar → Thekkady

Morning

  • After breakfast, check out and depart for Thekkady (Periyar area). The drive is about 3-4 hours.
  • On the way, visit spice gardens: cardamom, pepper, cloves; groups can smell, learn, and possibly buy directly from growers.

Afternoon

  • Arrive in Thekkady; hotel check-in, lunch, rest.
  • After resting, visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary / National Park. One of the key attractions is a boat cruise on Periyar Lake—spots for elephants, deer, and wild birds.

Evening

  • Dinner. Optional: cultural programme (e.g. Kathakali, Kalaripayattu show) or spice market walk.
  • Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4: Thekkady – Depth & Experience

Morning

  • Early morning nature walk or guided trek in the sanctuary. Bird-watching, small waterfalls if accessible.
  • Return to the hotel.

Mid-day / Afternoon

  • Visit a local plantation (cardamom/pepper/tea) for a detailed tour; spice cooking demo (use of spices in Kerala cuisine).
  • Lunch in plantation locales or local traditional restaurants.

Late Afternoon / Evening

  • Optional bamboo rafting or Jungle patrol/bamboo rafting on Periyar (if season permits).
  • Evening: relax at the hotel, perhaps a night walk or quiet nature spots.

Day 5: Thekkady → Alleppey – Backwater Magic

Morning

  • After breakfast, check out, and depart for Alleppey (Alappuzha). The drive is approximately 4 hours or more, depending on the route.
  • Arrive in Alleppey by midday.

Afternoon

  • Check in to the houseboat (or a cluster of houseboats if the group is large) for a backwater cruise. Lunch aboard.
  • Relax, view the serene paddy fields, coconut palms, and local village life visible from the water.

Evening

  • A calm sunset cruise in a houseboat; dinner on board with fresh local Kerala fish/vegetarian specialties.
  • Overnight onboard a houseboat (floating gently through canals and broad water channels).

Day 6: Alleppey → Kovalam

Morning

  • Wake up to backwaters, breakfast on the boat. Disembark mid-morning.
  • Depart for Kovalam. Depending on your choice, either direct drive (~5-6 hours or more) or via Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) to explore the capital city en route.

Afternoon

  • Arrival at Kovalam, hotel check-in. Lunch and rest.

Evening

  • Evening at Kovalam Beach — lighthouse beach, beach shacks, strolling, sunset views.

Day 7: Kovalam & Surroundings

Morning

  • Breakfast by the sea. Free beach time—or optional activities: surfing lessons, parasailing (if available), local boat ride.

Midday

  • Visit Vellayani Lake or local village walk; opportunity to see fishing nets, coconut grove lanes.

Afternoon

  • Lunch. Then, possibly visit Spice Bazaar or local handicraft shops in Kovalam. Or plan an Ayurveda/wellness spa session for a group (massage, herbal baths).

Evening

  • Group dinner at a beachfront restaurant with local seafood & Kerala traditional menu. Relaxing evening by the waves.

Day 8: Departure

  • Depending on how flights are arranged, depart from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (the closest major airport to Kovalam) or go back to Cochin if that’s more convenient.
  • Morning: pack, enjoy final breakfast, optional quick local sightseeing if time permits in Trivandrum (Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Napier Museum, etc.).
  • Transfer to the airport, fly back to Delhi / Mumbai.
